Description: [0001] The invention relates to a box for accommodating living beings, in particular dogs in vehicles, according to the preamble of claim 1.
PRIOR ART [0002] In order to transport animals, in particular dogs in vehicles, in particular passenger cars, transport boxes are used. These are usually in the trunk or rear compartment of the vehicle and represent an important safety measure to protect the animal and the occupants. In addition to universal boxes that fit in the trunk of each vehicle, there are also customized transport boxes according to the trunk dimensions of the respective vehicle types. In addition, transport boxes are also known, which are designed for use in the rear or passenger seat. Such a transport box, which has proven excellent, is described in DE 20 2009 005 645 U1.
However, these transport boxes are problematic in the event of a crash. If the box is arranged in the trunk or in a rear compartment of a variant, then destructive energies of the crash case can still be absorbed by a rear wall of the seats or the chassis. However, this is very problematic when the transport box is in the back seat. She is not allowed to stand free in the back seat anyway, otherwise the occupants will be seriously endangered. If she is buckled, the dog is thrown in the event of a crash but against bars. These press punctiform and linear on the body of the dog and hurt him. For this reason, for example, it is already provided, for example, in DE 20 2009 005 645 U1, to replace the bars by individual area elements.
OBJECT [0004] The object of the present invention is to provide a box of the above-mentioned type. To create kind, which is designed to be transportable on the one hand and on the other hand offers the living beings in the event of a crash suitable protection and injuries to a minimum. Solution to Problem [0005] To achieve the object, the features of the characterizing part of claim 1 result.
This reinforcement is designed so that it absorbs an outwardly bulging surface quasi. That is, a substantial portion of the energy is still trapped by the surface. But if this is not enough, the reinforcement takes over the annihilation of the remaining negative energy of the crash. In any case, the living thing lies flat on the surface, so that its injuries can be reduced to a minimum.
As the gain is designed to be of secondary importance. In practice, it has been found that a strip-shaped design is the simplest and best. This is about a five-centimeter wide strip, which forms a gap to the surface. In the event of a crash, the surface overcomes the gap, but, as mentioned above, already a considerable part of the negative energy is destroyed. Thereafter, the surface also strikes the strip flat, so that the energy is distributed along the strip over a relatively large area. In crash tests it has been found that this ensures that the box can withstand a crash at 24 G. If you transfer the 24 G on a dog of about 40 kg, this results in about two tons, which survives the box. The strip can thus also be referred to as a crash belt, since it can intercept energy in the manner of a belt and prevent injuries.
At the same time, it has also turned out to be improving if the surface is no longer made e.g. Wood, but from an aluminum composite material, in particular Alu-Cobond or Alu-Dibond is produced. These materials are also exposed to splintering. Furthermore, other filler materials of the surfaces, such as reinforced wall panels, simple plywood panels and other composite materials, should be included in the present invention.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the reinforcement may also consist of an outer wall, so that the surface and the outer wall together form a space. In addition, a compressible material may additionally be provided in this space which counteracts buckling of the surface against the outer wall. By this arrangement, a collision of the living being is significantly attenuated on the surface.
A further improvement in safety in the event of a crash offers the arrangement of tie rods in the lower part of the box. These tie rods should extend between a front frame and a rear frame in the lower corner. They traverse the entire lower corner region and are fixed by appropriate fastening means, for example. Cap nuts. As a rule, a tie rod in the lower corner area is sufficient here, but to improve safety, a second tie rod may also be provided above the first tie rod, in particular in the entry area of the animal.
Overall, the box is set in the back seat by a corresponding Sicherungsgurtsystem. This wraps around the box with a safety belt and is preferably fixed to the front reinforcement. There are also the connections to the safety devices of the vehicle, the whole is still covered by a protective flap, so that injuries are avoided.
However, the present invention is not limited to use in rear seats. It generally refers to "freestanding" universal boxes, made-to-measure items as well as custom solutions and rear seat boxes. For example, the box can also be used in a trunk of a vehicle. The crash reinforcements, such as strip-shaped elements and / or tie rods, and / or corresponding filler materials of the surfaces and / or special attachment straps for crash safety / energy destruction can be used accordingly.
For example were in a "freestanding" universal box in the trunk (with folded down backrest), which in this case only additionally equipped with a strip-shaped flat aluminum on the back of the pit (in front of the vehicle), achieved excellent crash results.
Furthermore, it may be thought to connect elements or surfaces of the box by means of tie rods or tie rods together. These are preferably threaded rods, which can be fastened with flat head nuts. Such tie rods or tie rods can be arranged for example within struts of the dog box, which thus protect the tie rod. Furthermore, tension rods or tie rods but can also run parallel to the strip-shaped flat aluminum, for example, between the flat aluminum and its associated surface. Tie rods, for example, connect opposing wall panels or struts of the box with each other.
An advantage of a box in the context of the present invention is in particular that the selection of the filling material of the surfaces, the Aluflachbandmaterial or Crashbelt and the tension rods or tie rods can be adjusted individually or in combination with each other in an advantageous manner to the safety requirements, which are put to the box.
Description of the Figures Further advantages, features and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments and from the drawing; this shows in
1 shows a perspective view of a box according to the invention for accommodating living beings;
FIG. 2 is a front view of the box according to FIG. 1; FIG.
FIG. 3 shows a side view of the box according to FIG. 1; FIG.
4 is a side view of a detail of a further embodiment of a box according to the invention; 5 shows a front view of the box according to FIG. 4.
A box P for receiving living things, especially of dogs in vehicles has, according to FIG. 1, a front side 1, a back side 2, a top side 3, a bottom side 4 and two sides 5 and 6. The pages 1 to 6 are essentially formed of frames and interposed grid struts and surfaces.
The front side 1 is shown in more detail in Fig. 2. It has a peripheral frame 7, which is formed of individual struts. An upper strut 8 and a lower strut 9 are interconnected by two side struts 10 and 11. Between the two side struts 10 and 11 also extends a central strut 12 which separates a window 13 from an opaque area 14 in the lower region. This lower surface 14 is preferably made of Alu-Cobond or Alu-Dibond, however, the idea of the invention is not limited thereto, other materials, such as wood or plastic, can be selected.
The surface 14 is attacked by a strip-shaped reinforcement 15, which is connected on both sides via rivets 16 with the side struts 10 and 11. The reinforcement 15 does not lie on the surface 14, but between both a gap is formed.
According to FIG. 3, the side 5 has the side strut 10 of the frame 7. This side strut 10 is connected via a bottom strut 17 with a side strut 18 of a frame not shown in detail the back 2. The side strut 10, bottom strut 17 and side strut 18 form a U-shaped frame 19, in which a door 20 is inserted. In the upper part side strut 18 and side strut 10 are held together by a cross member 21 of the cover page 3.
The bottom strut 17 is traversed by a tie rod 22 shown in dashed lines, with the respective laterally corresponding fasteners 23 and 24 are coupled. Above the bottom strut 17 is to reinforce another strut 25, which is traversed by a further tie rod 26.
According to FIG. 1, the entire box P is looped around by a securing belt 27, which is fastened to the reinforcement 15 at the front. In this area are also security elements, namely corresponding locks that can interact with safety belts. These are covered in the position of use by a protective flap 28. The mode of operation of the present invention is as follows: The box P according to the invention is specially designed for the crash case. It is placed on a back seat of a vehicle and supported by the vehicle seat and the backrest through appropriate foam wedges. It is determined by means of the usual safety belts in the vehicle, which are clipped into the corresponding securing device with the securing elements on the reinforcement.
In the event of a crash, the box P is held by the safety belt and securing elements in the back seat. However, the inside dog is pressed from the inside against the surface 14, which gives way under pressure. It bellows outward and meets there but on the gain 15, which has already been destroyed by the bulging a significant portion of the negative energy of the crash. The reinforcement 15 now allows no or only little further buckling of the surface 14, so that the residual negative energy of the crash is also destroyed. The dog feels relatively little of it, since his entire body of the surface 14 is applied from the inside and this body is not punctually loaded.
In the event of a crash, in particular, the corner regions of the frame are subject to considerable loads, so that it is precisely these lower corner areas are at risk. The act against the two tie rods 22 and 26, which prevent the frames are torn apart in these lower corner areas.
Also, the box P overall wrap around safety belt contributes to this harmless destruction of the negative energy of the crash case. The corresponding bars can deform in the context of the safety belt, etc., but this deformation is not permanent and not dangerous.
Regardless of the crash, the box is constructed so that it can be taken at any time, for example. On a hotel room.
In the embodiment of an inventive box according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the surface 14 is prefixed instead of the strip-shaped reinforcement 15 has its own outer wall 15.1. So that here a space 29 between the surface 14 and the reinforcement 15.1 can arise, the outer wall 15.1 is made obliquely. The same applies in this case for the side struts 10 and 11. Above the outer wall 15.1 is a grid 30th
In a preferred embodiment, the space 29 should still be filled with a compressible material, so that it also counteracts a bulging of the surface 14 upon impact of the living being.
